Going Home
The decision to discharge you from hospital
will be made by your consultant who will discuss with you when they
feel you are well enough to go home.
However, before you leave the suite there
are some things you will need to do:-
- Make sure you take home any medication that has been prescribed for
you or any that you may have brought in yourself.
- Ask when will you need to see your consultant again, either ask the
consultant, matron or a member of nursing staff.
- If required, the Paragon Suite will make arrangements for a district
nurse to visit you at home.
- If you require a sick certificate for work then please ask a member
of the nursing staff.
- If you have handed any valuables in for safe keeping,
ask a member of the nursing staff to return them to you.
- On the day of discharge you will need to vacate your room by 11am
or you may incur charges.
- Please check your policy regarding take-home
drugs as you may be invoiced for any drugs on discharge.
The aim of the Paragon Suite is to constantly update
and improve the service we provide to all our patients. Therefore after
your discharge we will send you a patient satisfaction questionnaire
with a pre-paid envelope and we would ask that you complete this to enable
us to keep our standards the very highest, and also to constanty improve
our services.
