Planning Your Stay

We ask that if possible you take time to plan your aftercare by making arrangements for any help at home that you might need upon your discharge, prior to your admission to us.

We would recommend that you bring the following in with you for your stay on the Paragon Suite:-
Nightclothes – Dressing gown and slippers, 2 nightdresses or a pair of pyjamas.
Toiletries
Spectacles / hearing aid
Reading material

Medicines – Please bring with you any medicines you are currently taking and hand them to the Matron or Nurse in charge.  We have implemented a supported self-administration policy of medicines on the Paragon, and this helps to educate patients about the medicines within a secure environment. If appropriate you will be offered this service.

Valuables – We recommend that you do not bring valuables with you into hospital.  If, however, this is unavoidable, please inform the nursing staff upon admission and they will arrange for them to be held safely.
Please also bring with you the following upon admission:-
Letter of Admission (if applicable)
Means of payment (if applicable)
Health insurance details, and your insurance claim form.  This may need to be signed by your GP or Consultant.

On admission you will be asked to sign an undertaking to pay form.
